Kids and teenagers are also well catered for with parks, playgrounds, youth groups and youth buildings and cafes and sports clubs. The countryside and coastline surrounding Waterford City provide a natural playground for young and old alike.
There is a vibrant arts scene in the City catering for music, theatre, dance and art. The City hosts a number of festivals each year including Spraoi, the Sean Dunne Literary Festival, the Imagine Arts Festival, Hot Air Ballooning Championships, Slow Food Ireland Festival and the Waterford Film Festival.
